Northern Port
The North (old port) extends from the northern boundary of the pier of Agios Nikolaos up to the North Pier with a land area of approximately 106.474,67 square meters with the piers No 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17 and 18 with a total length of 1.655,50 meters. They are equipped with a water supply system, 60t bollards, jetties and an electrical/electronic network channel. The berths have (7) boat mooring ramps, of which (4) are for stern mooring and (3) for side mooring, there is a 12 m long floating jetty for the handling of seaplanes and (17) berths (Remeza) for the handling of 25-35 m yachts. There is also an offshore breakwater with a total length of 1565.00 meters.
Also included are: Building Facilities – Sheds – Warehouses – Storage – Outposts such as Passenger Station , Waterport Passenger Station and Offices, Ferry Car Office Building, Port Hangar , Open Gate Shed No. 7, Bridge Toller Offices, Dockworkers’ Housing Complex, (3) Toilet Complexes, Sub-stations, Tide Gauge, Control Outposts and Supervision Area.
There are Electrical/Mechanical Installations of Substation, External Electricity Street Lighting and Weak currents, Water Supply and Irrigation network and Stormwater drainage network. There is also an asphalted internal road network and connection to the local road network, landscaped surroundings and Car and Truck Parking Areas.
Also included is the southern port basin of the North (old) port, which extends between the Gounari pier and the Agios Nikolaos pier, with a land area of approximately 5,740 square meters, with the berths No 1,2,3 and 4 with a total length of 688.00 meters, equipped with a water supply network, 60t bollards, jetties and (1) ship berthing ramp.
Also included are ground floor buildings, warehouses of the Central Port Authority of Patras and a Tideograph house.
The Patras Port Authority has facilities, machinery and personnel at the North Port that can serve the handling of cargo. It also has an open-air storage area for general cargo. The operation of a customs service allows the handling of imported and exported goods.
It also has 3 bridge scales (two in the South Port and one in the North Port) for vehicle weight control and load weighing.
All services provided by O.L.PA to the users of the port facilities are classified in 4 tariff categories as defined by Decision 48058/EGDEKO 1680.

Regulation and Tariff 48058 regulates the regulation of the mooring, mooring, mooring and docking of all types of ships/floating vessels in the legal maritime area of the O.L.P.A. S.A., as well as a special passenger transit fee.
