SHORT DESCRIPTION:
The Port Network Authority of the Ionian Sea and the Port of Patras Authority will improve their operational efficiency through the implementation of Digital Twin technology. This initiative aims to create a virtual representation of port operations, enabling better analysis and decision-making.
By using historical data and simulation models, the project will allow stakeholders to explore different operational scenarios and assess their potential impacts. This approach is expected to lead to improved performance metrics and more informed strategic planning.
The benefits of the project extend beyond the individual ports. By optimizing processes and enhancing collaboration, the initiative aims to strengthen the overall competitiveness of the region’s maritime sector. Finally, the integration of Digital Twin technology is expected to foster innovation, improve service delivery, and support sustainable growth in the region.
The partnership is complemented by the scientific partners Computer Technology Institute and Press “Diophantus” and MEDISDIH S.c.ar.l.
