The Port of Patras serves as our country’s gateway to Europe and is one of the most modern ports in the Mediterranean, featuring state-of-the-art port facilities, a contemporary cruise terminal, high-quality integrated hospitality services, and conditions of hygiene and safety.
The Port Authority of Patras makes a decisive contribution to the local economy by creating 2,504 jobs through directly dependent businesses, including 1,013 direct jobs with an income of €12.2 million and 1,491 indirect jobs with an income of approximately €9.2 million.
According to ELSTAT, the port and its associated businesses contribute 3.74% to the total local employment and 1.48% to the overall generated income. Additionally, together with directly dependent businesses, it generates a turnover of €64.3 million.

Quality – ISO Certification

O.L.P.A. S.A. has obtained a certification and implements a Quality Management System in accordance with the ISO 9001:2015 standard. This system covers the management and operation of the port, including administrative services, port property management, the servicing of moored vessels, cargo handling (including bulk solids), waste management, equipment maintenance, infrastructure maintenance, and the development of port services and infrastructure.
It has also obtained certification and implements an Environmental Management System in accordance with the requirements of the ISO 14001:2015 standard.
The two certifications were achieved through the Inspection and Certification Process by the organisation “BUREAU VERITAS,” one of the most respected entities in the maritime and port sector. These certifications demonstrate the commitment of the Port Authority of Patras S.A. to providing high-quality and reliable services to its users and stakeholders.
